Anna Baker joined the Centre in September 2020 after over a decade of teaching Mathematics in a wide variety of secondary schools and FE colleges. She is a passionate ambassador for the subject, but also has a surprisingly strong affinity for poetry and the Arts, so perhaps it is fitting that her first blog post is a reworking of Oriah Mountain Dreamer’s poem ‘The Invitation’ as it pertains to the Maths classroom, inspired by a Special Interest Group (SIG) task relating to assessment criteria.Anna Baker
